What is GST?
GST (Goods and Services Tax) is an indirect tax used in India on the supply of goods and services. It replaced multiple cascading taxes levied by the central and state governments.
Two Modes of Calculation
- Add GST (+ Exclusive): Use this when you have a base price and need to calculate the final invoice amount by adding the GST on top of it.
- Remove GST (- Inclusive): Use this when you are given a final MRP (inclusive of tax) and need to work backward to find out the base price and how much tax was included.
The tool automatically splits the total GST amount into CGST (Central) and SGST (State) for intra-state transactions.

What is the difference between Add GST and Remove GST?
"Add GST" means the amount you entered is the Base Price (exclusive of tax), and the tool will add the tax on top of it. "Remove GST" means the amount you entered is the Final Price (inclusive of tax), and the tool will calculate backwards to find the base price and the tax component.
